Cobbers Way Memorial North Curl Curl

Things to do in Sydney

The ocean water here looks beautiful & clean.

The Northern corner of the beach is usually protected from swell & is a good place to snorkel. Swimming is usually safe here (depending on conditions).

You can park on the side streets or pay the regular council rates. $5 per hour or $8 for all day during the week & $25 for all day parking over the weekends (unless you have a Warringah Council parking sticker).

The board riding waves are usually best in the middle or Southern end of Curl Curl beach.

The beach is accessible from the Northern headland car park off Pitt Road or the Southern car park off Griffin Road.

There is also a rock pool that can be accessed by the beach at low tide with some rocks to negotiate or take the scenic path that starts next to the surf club. The track is pretty good with some sections of board walk, steep stairs at the pool end.

Dogs are allowed along the path but not in the pool area. The pool area can be dangerous in large surf as it is very exposed & waves wash over. Photographers frequent here in these conditions as the swell splashes vertically against the rock bordering the sea. The handrails around the pool are heavy reinforced stainless steel for the severe swell conditions. The pool skirt can be slippery with algae.

If you choose to take the headland route from this path you can walk all the way along the headland edge to Dee Why Beach. The scenery is very good & the track is not too bad. The track ends near the headland car park at Dee Why.
