The harbour looks spectacular on a nice day & the ride is very enjoyable. Have your camera ready when you depart from Circular Quay to snap shots of the Opera House & Harbour Bridge. Families can travel extremely cheaply on the ferry every Sunday.
Some people also enjoy taking the Ferry when the seas are rough. Where you pass the ocean opening between Noth & South Heads is the most turbulent.

This boat trip is really relaxing. The ferry captain’s commentary about the area is very interesting & the top deck area offers a good view of all the little bays & beaches you pass by. The return tip takes about 4½ hours. The ferry leaves from Palm Beach Wharf at 11:00am.
The one hour stop at Bobbin Head is a good time for a picnic lunch. I took for myself a couple of beers to go with lunch.
